Who is Mr. Lovell? While your child is in class with me this year, you'll probably hear many stories about me and my family. Most of them will be true, but I can't help what kids make up on their own, or what they actually hear and remember about my stories.
My name is Stephen Lovell. Most people call me Steve. I have been an educator since 2001. Although I have taught 3rd grade for most of my career, I began teaching in Hanover as a 4th grade teacher. I have since switched back to the 3rd grade. My wife Hilary, and my boys, Jaden (senior in high school) and Brody (fresheman in high school) will be apart of many stories that you may hear about this year. You may also hear about our pets. Right now we have a dog - Blue. He's a rescue and we were told he is part lab, part shepherd. He's a puppy, we just got him last spring. Our life is filled with sports, education, and pranks! My wife just loves the sense of humor her boys have! (Not really, but we still have a lot of fun!) After attending Graceland University, I began my teaching career in Omaha, NE in an inner city school. I was very fortunate to play indoor (arena) professional football for 6 years while I was in Omaha. After meeting my wife and moving to Massachusetts, I came to Hanover to continue my teaching career. Since I have been at Hanover, I obtained my Master's in Education from Fitchburg State. One day, I'm hoping to go back to school and get my Doctorate in Education. Yes, it is true! I played Indoor Professional Football (Arena Football) for 6 years in Omaha, Nebraska for the Omaha Beef! That was a long time ago! I played college football at Graceland University where I had a pretty good career. Sports and outdoor activities are very important to me and my family. I'm excited to work with your child this year. Together we can help make this a successful, and hopefully enjoyable year. |
My Pumpkins and Sunflowers!
The pumpkin seeds grew into these pumpkins and my Sunflower was about 10 feet tall! This was so much fun! Please send pictures of your harvest!
